Bangkok : Our Guide is there and waited for us. We have one for the Swissgermans and another for the Swissfrench. We are lucky, because we are only 11 Swissfrench and we have a coach only for us.
With the boat we see Bangkok and the royal palast "Wat Pho - Wat Aron" from the Chao-Phraya river.
In the afternoon, we made a city tour and visit the main temples of Bangkok, the Wat Po,
the Wat Phra Keo
(The emerald Bouddha) and a visit of the Grand Palast.
The night was at the Rembrandt Hotel (Sukhumvit Road on Soi 18).
Monday 4.5.1998
A tour to the floating market of Damnoen Saduak.
Then a visit of the gloden tower of Phra Pathom (120 m high) at Nakhon Prathom.

Tuesday 5.5.1998
Lets go to Sukhothai with our coach.
First stop in Saraburi and a visit of Phra Buddha (the temple with the imprint of Buddha's feet).
Then we visit the monkey temple in Lopburi.
In Nakon Sawan, we visit the local market before we have a dinner.
Then a little boat tour on the "Non" river.
Then we go on to Sukhothai where we stay overnight at the Pailyn Hotel.
Wednesday 6.5.1998
This morning, we visit the old town of Sukhothai with the ruins of Wat Maha Dhat, of Wat Sra Sri and of Wat Sri Chum.
Then we visit the thai village of Si Samrong. We have dinner at Si Satchanalai.
We spend the night in Chiang Rai at the Inn Come Hotel.
Thursday 7.5.1998
We are going to the Golden Triangle. A boat tour near the banks of Laos and Burma before we disembark at Chiang Saen.
We have dinner near Chiang Rai. The we go on to Chiang Mai.
On the way, we visit the Mao village at Wiang Pa Pao.
In the evening we assist at a spectacle of typical dances and we have dinner at the same time.
A night at the Novotel of Chiang Mai.
Friday 8.5.1998
Today we are going to Chiang Dao, to visit an elephant camp.
We make a tour on the elephants. Then the elephants are washed in the river.
We have dinner in Samoeng. It's an orchidee farm.
Then we go back to Chinag Mai.
Another night at the Novotel.
Saturday 9.5.1998
After we had our breakfast, we made a photo of our group in front of the hotel.
We are going to the airport, to take a plane for Phket.

I was on seat 38A. Nice flight and a great view by the landing on Phuket.
Transfert to the Thavorn Palm Beach Hôtel on Karon Beach.
One week relax, swimming pool, massages (seriouses), walking along the beaches.
I visit the caves and lagoons of Phang Nga and the "James Bond" island with "Andaman Seakayak". Our guide was from Yverdon (VD). You must do it.
A good tailor address for silk clothes (men and women):
BOSS COLLECTION, 64/11 Karon Plaza. When you go to the beach from the hotel, on your left. The next street, walk on the left side. 100m before the end of the street, you'll find it.
Saturday 16.5.1998
In the evening, transfert to the airport of Phuket.
Once there, we were informed that the plane who takes us from Bankok to Zurich has broken-down.
But we must go to Bangkok. Ok, here we go.

I was on seat 45A. Great plane (only 8 month old) and a lot of place for my legs.
Arrived in Bangkok, the ground crew has no idea what to do with us. At 23:00, they decided to drive us to
the Maruay Garden hotel for the night. In the hotel we have dinner
Sunday 17.5.1998
An early wake up. We had a breakfast and then lets go back to the Bangkok-airport. Our plane is ready and waits for us.
